Contract Specialist

About the Role:
The Q2 Contract Specialist plays a vital role in the contract operations team within the legal department. This position provides support and training for the direct, channel, and relationship management sales teams. If you have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment, this role may be an excellent fit for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interact with colleagues, regional sales managers, account managers, and executives, as well as clients and prospective clients.
- Enter, maintain, and ensure the integrity of contract data within Salesforce and other tracking databases, including accuracy and timeliness of dates and opportunity pricing.
- Create, maintain, and update contract templates and checklists to account for new pricing, products, and services offerings.
- Draft sales orders, amendments, SOWs, and review sales order forms for accuracy.
- Ensure contracts and proposals are thoroughly reviewed for pricing approvals and accounting issues prior to preparing a final copy for signature.
- Conduct proposal preparation.
- Reply timely to interdepartmental and intradepartmental requests.
- Train new hires on Contract Operations process and assist with Sales on-boarding.
- Create and document contract processes and procedures and communicate changes to the appropriate team members.
Requirements:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience.
- Demonstrate ability to easily adapt to change and quickly learn and retain new processes and other contract-related information.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Salesforce needed.
