About the Role

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a highly skilled Radiological Technologist 3 to join our General Radiology team at Sechelt Hospital in Sechelt, BC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform computed tomography (CT) and radiographic procedures in accordance with departmental policy and procedures.
  • Operate computerized imaging equipment, including processing and archiving of acquired data.
  • Prepare examination trays and patients for specific procedures.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and equipment performance.
  • Enter relevant data into the radiology information system.
  • Receive and complete requisitions.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
  • Completion of an advanced specialty program in Computed Tomography and one (1) year recent, related experience in CT radiology procedures.
  • Completion of an Intravenous Therapy training course when required by site practice.

Knowledge & Abilities

  • Demonstrated knowledge of standards of practice and guidelines for Medical Imaging practitioners established by the CAMRT.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practice related to designated modality.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of organization policies, procedures and standards of care.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
