We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Sechelt Hospital in Sechelt, BC.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing their expertise in diagnostic imaging to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform abdominal, obstetrical, pelvic, peripheral vascular and small parts ultrasound examinations, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Support your team by completing requisitions, entering data into our diagnostic imaging information system, preparing patients for procedures, and conducting examinations using ultrasound and Doppler techniques.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow and effective patient care.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A graduate degree in Medical Diagnostic Sonography from a recognized program, and certification with Sonography Canada or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Demonstrated knowledge of theory and practice for Sonography procedures, including abdominal, obstetrical, pelvic, peripheral vascular and small parts.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients, families, coworkers, physicians, and other healthcare staff.
