Job Title: Landscaping Supervisor

Okanagan Yard Works is seeking a skilled Landscaping Supervisor to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Landscaping Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our outdoor spaces. The successful candidate will have a strong background in horticulture and a proven track record of leading teams to achieve exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire, supervise, and schedule staff to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Plan and direct grounds maintenance, including the construction of decks and decorative or retaining walls.
  • Plan and estimate labor and materials, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Maintain accurate work records and logs, and requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Supervise nursery and greenhouse workers, and establish work schedules and procedures to ensure smooth operations.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and will be required to work outdoors in a physically demanding role.

Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Permanent employment with 40 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English.
