Job Title: Landscaping Team Lead
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Landscaping Team Lead to join our team at Okanagan Yard Works. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our outdoor worksites, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hire, supervise, and schedule staff to ensure optimal team performance
- Plan and direct grounds maintenance activities, including the construction of decks and decorative or retaining walls
- Organize and direct the maintenance of work records and logs
- Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
- Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
Requirements:
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Permanent employment
- English as the primary language of work
- 40 hours per week
Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and physically demanding tasks.
Personal Suitability: Client focus, initiative, team player, and flexibility are essential qualities for this role.
