At ACORN, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our technical support group, you will be responsible for providing top-notch assistance to our clients and ensuring that their technical issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.

Job Summary

This is a permanent position requiring 30 hours of work per week. The ideal candidate will have 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role and possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $50,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on location and other factors.

About the Role

In this role, you will be working under pressure to resolve technical issues, often with tight deadlines. You will be required to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records of problems and solutions. Your excellent interpersonal skills will enable you to provide training and advice to users, while your ability to multitask will allow you to supervise other technical support workers.

You will also be responsible for setting up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software. Additionally, you will perform Web-server backup and recovery operations, ensuring that our systems are running smoothly and efficiently.

Your day-to-day activities will include responding to users experiencing difficulties with computer systems, consulting user guides, technical manuals, and other documents to research and implement solutions. You will also collect, organize, and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role
