Senior Financial Administrator, Screening Payments

About the Position:

The Senior Financial Administrator, Screening Payments will be responsible for the delivery of accounting services, including processing vendor invoices and employee claims, and other disbursements. This role will perform all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process vendor invoices and employee claims in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Verify and reconcile accounts payable coding and payment terms.
  • Ensure compliance with Treasury Board Policies and Directives, as well as the Financial Administration Act.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide general accounting and financial management services, including accounts payable and general ledger maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting, finance, or relevant discipline.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Great Plains Financial System.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, customer service focus, and effective communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with CATSA's mandate and priorities.
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
