Job Title: Senior Software Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our team at ROSS. As a Senior Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supervising the technical aspects of PrintFleet Enterprise Projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop programming components
  • Participate actively in product design process
  • Interact with Customer Support Team
  • Collaborate with Product Development team members on new feature implementation and issue resolution
  • Plan and perform tasks for current and future projects
  • Produce technical documentation
  • Provide Tier 3 troubleshooting and occasional Tier 1 troubleshooting
  • Demonstrate projects to Sales Department and clients
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance on issue identification and resolution
  • Consult with Technical Support on product behavior and provide assistance on complicated customer issue resolution
  • Communicate with hardware vendors regarding questions, requirements, and specifications
  • Perform research on new technologies and tools available
  • Implement and enforce best practices in coding and unit testing

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in software development or related field
  • Excellent understanding of .NET, Java, and/or similar languages
  • 5+ years of experience building production-level software
  • Experience working with ASP.NET
  • Expert understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and experience using jQuery or similar framework
  • Excellent graphic design and/or usability skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and deep understanding of OOP principles
  • Fluency in a second language an asset
  • Consistently delivers high-quality software
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of document output segment, including management of print devices
  • Experience using test-driven development methodologies
  • Experience in Agile Methodologies and Tools
  • Experience with database design and development
  • Good understanding of communication protocols and frameworks such as TCP, HTTP, SOAP, and WCF
