About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our team at Hillside Centre, a 44-bed facility located on the Royal Inland Hospital campus. As a Social Worker, you will provide clinical social work services to patients and conduct comprehensive social work and psychosocial assessments with patients suffering acute episodes of mental illness and substance misuse/dependence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical social work services to patients and conduct comprehensive social work and psychosocial assessments
  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver in-services, presentations, psycho-educational and support groups
  • Initiate, develop, and carry out research activities in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
  • Engage patients and their support systems as people with full competence and as full collaborators in service planning, delivery, and evaluation

Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Social Work from an approved school of Social Work
  • One (1) year recent, related clinical experience with adult mental health experience
  • Current full registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
