Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Buildings team in Ottawa or Timmins. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and managing projects from concept to completion. Your expertise in building systems, including HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing, will be essential in delivering high-quality solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Design and coordinate building systems, including HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing, to meet client requirements and regulatory standards.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Coordinate with designers to optimize building arrangements, equipment selection, and piping and ductwork layouts.
- Assist in workload management to ensure project deadlines are met and final deliverables align with client expectations.
- Identify and respond to client needs and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in proposal preparation and estimate development for engineering services.
- Apply engineering fundamentals and utilize software tools to ensure accurate and efficient project delivery.
- Conduct site reviews during construction and report on observations.
- Mentor junior engineers and designers to develop their skills and expertise.
