Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Data Scientist Intern to join our Distribution Centre team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that leverage advanced analytics and artificial intelligence to optimize our supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement advanced analytics techniques to analyze data and identify opportunities for process automation within our supply chain operations.
- Explore and evaluate potential applications of artificial intelligence (AI) within the DC and transportation sectors to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Assist in the development and implementation of AI-driven solutions for reporting, analysis, and process optimization.
- Collaborate with operations and inventory teams to advance the optimization of automated processes and drive automation within the DC.
- Research and identify future opportunities for improving our warehouse and distribution processes.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for continuous improvement.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics is a plus.
