We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Roofing Team Lead to join our team at Valad Roofing & Construction Inc. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in managing construction projects.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our roofing teams, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for hiring, training, and supervising staff, as well as coordinating materials, equipment, and supplies.

In this role, you will work closely with our project managers to develop and implement project plans, monitor progress, and identify potential risks and opportunities. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, reports, and documentation related to project activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of 3-4 roofers, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles
  • Oversee the installation, inspection, and repair of roofs, ensuring that all work is done to the highest standards of quality and safety
  • Develop and implement project plans, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to project activities
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., construction management, business administration)
  • At least 3 years of experience in a senior role in the construction industry, preferably in a supervisory or management position
  • Proven track record of success in leading high-performing teams and delivering results-driven projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, colleagues, and vendors
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions
