Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Handling Specialist to join our team. As a Material Handling Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by maintaining material supply levels, adhering to just-in-time manufacturing principles, and performing quality control checks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate information that requires explanation or interpretation to team members and stakeholders
  • Operate forklifts and hand trucks according to standard operating procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness of work environment
  • Determine when equipment should be upgraded or replaced
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Restock and maintain inventory levels on the floor

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning
  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery
  • Capable of working any day of the week, including Sundays, and working in hot/cold weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Basic computer skills: ability to use keyboard and mouse to collect and enter information into point-of-sale system
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
