Job Summary:

Shermco is seeking a skilled Electrical Field Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our field service team, you will be responsible for traveling to customer sites to inspect, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to customer sites to inspect and test electrical systems, including low, medium, and high voltage systems.
  • Perform instrument transformer tests and power transformer testing, including Doble, TTR, and Insulation Resistance tests.
  • Test electro-mechanical and solid state relays, as well as cable testing using Tan Delta, Power Factor, VLF, and DC Hipot methods.
  • Troubleshoot automatic transfer switches and perform testing on low, medium, and high voltage switchgear and circuit breakers.
  • Perform moderately complex relay calibration and power metering tasks.
  • Rotate on-call duty and respond to customer emergencies in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and testing procedures.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
