Job Title: Jr. Technical Engineer/MTL

Job Overview:

  • The Modification Team Leader (MTL) is accountable for completing assigned Minor Projects per OPG Engineering change control process and performs required liaison and oversight activities among OPG and Vendor stakeholders.
  • MTL leads modification teams, manages safety, resources, risks, scope, cost, and schedule of assigned modifications, and develops modification plans, contracting strategies, procurement plans, and installation & commissioning plans to ensure timely and event-free modifications.
  • MTL reviews invoices and provides payment recommendations, monitors Modification Outline packages, tracks design completion, work order assessments, material deliveries, and prepares and conducts COMS and Available for Service meetings.
  • MTL represents Minor Projects and provides updates in various meetings, such as Plant Health meetings, T-meetings, and Outage meetings.
  • MTL is familiar with Chestnut Park Accord Addendum (CPAA), PSA, and ES-MSA processes, online execution N-PROC-MA-0022, and Outage execution N-PROC-MA-0013.
  • MTL prepares Business Case Summaries and has knowledge of gated processes for capital projects funding approval.

Qualifications:

  • Less than 3 years of experience in Project Management for MP2 position.
  • Experience with Nuclear Projects Management is an asset.
  • Undergraduate 4-year degree in Engineering from a recognized Canadian University or equivalent.
  • P. Eng and/or PMP certification is an asset.
