The estimated salary for this role is $23-$25 per hour, with opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.
Job Responsibilities:
As a Mountain Security Professional, you will be responsible for:
- Performing nightly patrols and securing properties to ensure the safety of our employees and guests
- Delivering daily deposits from outlying locations in a secure manner
- Collecting documents and cheques from assorted locations and making secure deliveries
- Generating daily reports of patrols completed, incidents, events, and findings
- Assisting guests or staff as needed to ensure efficient operations and excellent customer service
- Responding to security and fire alarms, investigating the cause of alarm events, and documenting findings
- Liaising with security contractors, Whistler Bylaw Officers, Whistler Fire Dept., and RCMP as required
- Reviewing security system databases and live or recorded security video as required
- Maintaining organized and accurate records
- Assisting with the issuance or return of keys to inventory as required
- Documenting and promptly communicating the need for maintenance of security infrastructure and facilities as they arise
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid BC Security Guard license and completion of Basic Security Training
- Demonstrated core values around Safety First, Striving to be the best, and We Care
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage conflict and work effectively with people
- Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with prior use of proprietary security software and video surveillance systems an asset
- A Class 5 BC driver's license with a satisfactory abstract, and the ability to pass a criminal record check
- Previous security background or employment history with Vail Resorts is an asset
