Security Officer

We are seeking a skilled Security Officer to join our team at healthcare facilities in Pemberton and Whistler. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular foot patrols to monitor the facility and its surroundings
  • Monitor CCTV cameras to detect and respond to potential security threats
  • Provide first aid and respond to emergencies as needed
  • Manage the lost and found and maintain accurate records
  • Write detailed incident reports to document security incidents
  • Respond to alarms and investigate potential security breaches
  • De-escalate potentially violent situations and interact with clients and the general public in a professional manner
Requirements:
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • A valid BC Security License
  • A passion for being active and able to stand and/or patrol for the majority of a shift
  • Confidence approaching and leading in emergency situations
  • A keen eye for watching and reporting irregularities
  • Basic skills in utilizing technology, including writing reports on a computer and communicating via two-way radios
