About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Principal – HVDC to reinforce our team working on Infrastructure in the context of deep integration of renewable energy sources, Energy and Balancing Market Integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop technical specifications for large HVDC and complex offshore grid projects.
  • Participate in early design and coordinate front-end engineering and design phases of such projects.
  • Drive and stimulate the development of HVDC and offshore solutions proposed by EGI.
  • Lead a local team of subject matter experts based in North America and facilitate collaboration between local and global teams.
  • Contribute to the continuous evolution of the company by adopting best practices, seeking improvement opportunities, and engaging in strategic partnerships.
  • Support daily business, resource planning, sales, and operations planning, recruitment, and management of consultants/contractors.
  • Ensure project activities are carried out according to policies, quality standards, and financial targets.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of the HVDC market in North America.
  • Years of professional experience in the HVDC field in leadership positions.
  • Master's in Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • Industry expert with credibility and a name in the industry to open doors and command respect when proposing solutions.
  • Proven success in business development, especially producing solutions and shaping offers to solve customer challenges at C-Level contacts.
  • Experience overseeing the delivery of strategy or operational consulting services to the electricity transmission sector.
  • Managing large and complex projects in a global team of experienced professionals and experts.
  • Knowledge of strategy development, market & regulations, business transformation, offshore grid, interconnectors, digitalization, or other topics related to the energy transition.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
  • Mobility and flexibility, willing to travel for international assignments depending on business development needs.
