Voyago is seeking a skilled Patient Transfer Attendant to join our team in Kitchener, Ontario

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and compassionate individual to transport patients safely and efficiently to and from healthcare facilities, nursing homes, and private residences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport patients via stretcher or wheelchair, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient needs and concerns
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Work collaboratively with our team to ensure seamless patient transfers
  • Meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting and transferring patients

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid First Responder Certification, AEMCA, or Paramedic Diploma (year 1 completion)
  • Valid CPR and First Aid (Level C) certification
  • A valid G class driving license
  • The ability to lift 250+ lbs. using a stretcher or stair chair with a partner
  • Effective communication skills in both verbal and written English
  • A clean driving record and ability to obtain a Vulnerable Sector screening
  • Up-to-date immunization records, including MMR, DPT, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19 (2 doses), and TB Skin Test (Step 1)
  • High School diploma or equivalent, or post-secondary diploma
