Job Title: Patient Transfer Attendant

Voyago is seeking a skilled Patient Transfer Attendant to join our team in Kitchener, Ontario.

Your Role:

As a Patient Transfer Attendant, you will be responsible for the safe transportation of patients via stretcher/wheelchair to/from healthcare facilities, nursing homes, or private residences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport patients safely and efficiently
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Work collaboratively with a team to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A valid First Responder Certification, AEMCA, or Paramedic Diploma (year 1 completion)
  • Valid CPR and First Aid (Level C) certification
  • A valid G class driving license
  • The ability to lift 250+ lbs. using a stretcher or stair chair with a partner
  • Effective communication skills in both verbal and written English
  • A clean driving record
  • A clean Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector screening
  • Up-to-date immunization records, including MMR, DPT, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19 (2 doses), and TB Skin Test (Step 1)
  • High School diploma or equivalent, or post-secondary diploma
