About the Role:

Giant Tiger is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Grocery Associate to join our team in Charlottetown. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of store appearance, and ensuring a smooth shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Operate electronic cash registers, mainline, and self-checkouts, accurately recording customer transactions and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Replenish merchandise around the checkout area, ensuring a well-stocked and organized store environment.
  • Follow up on hot selling items, completing markdowns and SKU changes as needed, and maintaining planograms, labels, tickets, and signing standards.
  • Perform cycle counts, ensuring inventory accuracy and maintaining a high level of store appearance.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, including those related to tobacco and lottery sales, and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements:

  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on attention to detail and effective communication.
  • Ability to work a typical full-time schedule, including day shifts, two evenings per week, and alternating weekends, with a schedule of 35-40 hours weekly.
