As our newest product line, the eCommerce team at Cova is working together to help retailers extend their reach and discoverability by customers online using digital marketing and SEO. Our POS and eCommerce solution provides a cohesive in-store and online experience to engage with and create long-term relationships with customers for our retailers.

We're growing rapidly after an acquisition in 2022, and we need your expertise to establish a best-in-class online shopping experience for cannabis consumers across North America.

About the Role

As the Ecommerce Product Strategist, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop a vision and strategy for creating an exceptional online shopping experience. You'll partner with the Technical Lead and global engineers to deliver solutions that drive positive impact on retailers and consumers alike.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Applying product principles and practices to understand customer needs and inform your product roadmap
  • Gathering insights from cannabis retailers and consumers to validate assumptions and advocate for their needs
  • Collaborating with other product managers and stakeholders to maintain alignment across Cova
  • Staying up-to-date on market trends, customer segments, and competition to contribute to Cova's overall product strategy
  • Communicating the product vision throughout the company
  • Partnering with other departments to create go-to-market strategies and plans
  • Prioritizing ruthlessly to deliver customer value early and often
  • Defining and measuring success to track and monitor product performance

You must have:

  • 1-3 years of product management experience in eCommerce or B2B SaaS
  • A proven track record of shipping products while balancing idealism with pragmatism
  • The ability to challenge the status quo and make data-driven decisions
  • Experience creating strategic product roadmaps and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency with tracking and collaboration tools such as JIRA, MS OneDrive, Confluence/Wiki, and Aha
  • A commitment to continuous improvement in your career and craft

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
