Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Custodian at the St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the facility and grounds, ensuring a clean and safe environment for visitors and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the facility and grounds, including cleaning and upkeep of washrooms, garbage collection, and grounds maintenance.
  • Assist visitors and provide excellent customer service.
  • Report any issues or concerns to management.
  • Perform opening and closing duties, including securing alarm systems.
  • Assist with setup and teardown of on-site functions.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and materials.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work independently.
  • Good physical condition and ability to lift up to 25 kg.
  • Shift and weekend work required.
  • Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
What We Offer

CUPE 1287 Pay Group 1 - $19.28 to $22.04 per hour.

Expected Work Location: St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canal Centre.

Hours of Work: up to 24 hours per week.
