Job Title: Director, GB

About the Role:

The Director, GB - IT Strategy & Planning will lead a team to develop, drive, and support technology strategies that enable Manulife's Group Benefits to deliver innovative digital experiences to our customers and drive efficiencies and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Technology Development: Partner with stakeholders to define, deliver, implement, and maintain the Group Benefits technology strategy to drive Manulife Group Benefits business goals.
  2. Identify and Exploit Internal Best Practices: Foster relationships throughout Manulife to identify technical practices that can be adapted to the advantage of Manulife Group Benefits technology.
  3. Leadership: Provide leadership and direction in developing a team of highly engaged, geographically diverse, Technology professionals.
  4. Operations and Compliance: Coordinate all aspects of technology for the Group Benefits unit, ensuring stability, reliability, and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
  5. Partner closely with key risk customers: within the Group Benefits to coordinate work effort to ensure solutions meet industry risk practices.
  6. Financial Management: Establish operating and investment budgets within the respective work area consistent with short and long-term Group Benefits financial goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, management of information systems, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of technology strategy execution experience for large-scale organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement a technology strategy and tactics to drive business goals.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to deliver actionable recommendations.
