Join Our Team as an Environmental Engineering Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Engineering Intern to join our team at ATCO Electric. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects related to environmental governance, remediation, and reclamation.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the development and implementation of environmental management system documents and policies.
  • Conduct research on environmental matters and provide technical and financial evaluations on contractor bid submissions.
  • Participate in project and team meetings and ensure open and effective communication between the Environment Group and the groups they support within the company.
  • Assist with the management of consultants and contractors to ensure environmental work and reporting is completed on time and on budget.
Requirements:
  • Enrolled in Environmental Sciences or Environmental or Civil Engineering post-secondary co-op (or internship) program at a recognized Canadian university.
  • Excellent computer skills and experience working with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing clearly and concisely, using appropriate technical vocabulary.
  • Hold a valid Class 5 driver's license.
