About the Role

Lodex Transport Ltd. is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across international routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation and Logistics
    • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy to ensure safe and efficient transportation of cargo.
    • Obtain special permits and documents required for international routes.
    • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
    • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Vehicle Maintenance and Safety
    • Perform emergency roadside repairs to ensure minimal downtime.
    • Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Communication and Record-Keeping
    • Receive and relay information to central dispatch to ensure smooth operations.
    • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Handling and Security
    • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.
    • Transport and handle dangerous goods in accordance with regulations.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
    • Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Documentation Knowledge
    • Bill of lading.
    • Driver logbook.
    • Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip).
  • Transportation and Travel Experience
    • Long-haul experience.
  • Security and Safety
    • Criminal record check.
    • Driving record check (abstract).
  • Transportation and Travel Information
    • Valid driver's license.

Working Conditions
