Job Summary

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues, and have a strong understanding of child development principles. This role involves planning and implementing engaging activities for children, maintaining a safe and healthy environment, and collaborating with the team to ensure the highest quality care.

About the Role

This is a full-time position working 30-40 hours per week. The successful candidate will have a college/CEGEP diploma or equivalent, with experience in early childhood education (1 less than 7 months). A criminal record check and child abuse registry check are required.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Assess children's development to create tailored learning plans
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
  • Develop and lead activities, including storytelling, songs, and outings
  • Communicate with parents through written observations and progress reports
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and problems
