Job Title: Residential Support Worker

Grand Council Treaty #3 is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing mental health and cultural support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide mental health and cultural support referrals to clients
  • Conduct intake and provide information on resources available to clients
  • Provide emotional support at various cultural gatherings, training sessions, and ceremonies
  • Analyze statistical data and prepare IRS updates, reports, and position papers
  • Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops, and information sessions
  • Liaise with First Nation members, communities, and other stakeholders
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary diploma in Native Studies or a related field
  • Experience in sharing Anishinaabe culture and tradition
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office and online video-conferencing platforms
  • Ability to work with all levels of employees and departments
  • Ability to provide professional customer service
Employment Conditions:
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
  • Must have a clear criminal records/vulnerable sector check
  • Must be able to travel on short notice
