About the Role- This position is responsible for overseeing location maintenance operations and supervising shop staff to ensure efficient maintenance performance.
- Direct supervision of shop staff is also expected.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing location maintenance operations and ensuring safe working conditions for the fleet.
- Scheduling and administering fleet maintenance, as well as troubleshooting equipment problems.
- Leading employee development, training, and performance reviews.
- Collaborating with location managers and regional maintenance teams to provide updates on maintenance status and budget requirements.
- Reviewing financial and budget variances, repair orders, and account payable documents.
- Maintaining compliance with State, Federal, and Company regulations.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Improve efficiency and reduce operating costs through project implementation.
- Supervise bus fueling and arrange services for building and ground keeping as needed.
To be considered for this position, you should have:
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on mechanical supervisory experience.
- Strong computer skills.
- Prior experience repairing and maintaining diesel engines and school bus equipment is preferred.
We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. This estimate is based on national averages and industry standards.
