We are seeking a Business Developer to strategically market, promote, and sell a full range of clean energy solutions for operational needs. This role will play a pivotal part in driving business growth and expansion through the acquisition of new clients and the development of strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with potential clients and negotiating agreements to achieve sales targets and revenue objectives.
  • Develop and implement successful strategies to increase sales activities and ensure annual goals are attained.
  • Represent the company at conferences, tradeshows, events, and in the public forum, advancing the market awareness of the Ameresco value proposition.
  • Assist with the development of contract documents and exhibit comprehensive knowledge and understanding of entire proposal and contract terms.
  • Cultivate and foster customer relationships and perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience driving and managing complex and integrated building infrastructure project sales.
  • Technical background with the ability to communicate and demonstrate understanding of proposed solutions.
  • Proven track record in securing sales from top-level management, including preparation of financial models and structures to address building, asset, infrastructure, operational, and/or energy needs.
  • Bachelor's Degree or 10+ years' commensurate experience with active progress toward industry-related education preferred.
  • Demonstrated sales lead development and account cultivation skills, including effective negotiation and closing techniques.
  • Excellent verbal, written, computer, technical, and proposal communication and presentation skills, including proficiency with MS Office Suite and Salesforce.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and positive business relationships.
  • Valid Driver's License in good standing, issued by the resident province required.
  • May be required to pass security clearance investigation.
  • Travel required.
