About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at AY Exteriors & Solutions Inc. as a Renovation Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for leading exterior renovation projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality results and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and develop project plans.
  • Prepare layouts and designs for exterior renovation projects, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Operate power tools and heavy equipment, such as side-boom cranes, to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely completion of projects and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and provide exceptional customer service.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in carpentry, with a focus on exterior renovation projects.
  • Working at heights training and WHMIS certification.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
