Empower Simcoe is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Learning Facilitator to join our team. As a key member of our EarlyON Child and Family Centre, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality programs and services to children and families in Simcoe County.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement program plans that promote play-based learning and acknowledge the unique potential of each child.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver the Ontario Autism Entry to School program.
  • Provide informal parent education, information, and referral services to support family well-being.
  • Assist children in developing independence in self-care routines and promote healthy development across all domains.
  • Engage with parents and caregivers to discuss child development, parenting, and nutrition.
  • Make referrals as necessary based on evidence-based screening tools.
  • Develop and implement outreach opportunities for diverse populations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely reporting and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Community college diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
  • Current registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
  • One year of experience working with children and families.
  • Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of Ministry of Education pedagogical practices and policy.
  • Awareness of the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingualism in French, Spanish, Portuguese, Tamil, or Urdu.
  • Valid G class driver's license and reliable transportation.
