We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead for our Payment Services team. If you have a strong background in software development and experience working with payment systems, we encourage you to apply for this position.

About the Role

As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of developers to deliver reliable, scalable, and performant systems with resiliency and security top of mind.

Responsibilities

  • Lead your development team to deliver high-quality software.
  • Code review PRs, coordinate releases, ensure user stories are understood and clear.
  • Solve technical challenges with the teams, whether it's a challenging new feature, or solving an issue integrating a new technology.
  • Code review, security review and ensure best practices are followed.

About the Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a motivated and result-driven candidate with a strong technical background and experience working with payment systems.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience working in software development.
  • 4+ years of experience working on payment systems, including real-time payment systems an asset.
  • Participate in defining standards and guidelines around development (design, implementation), CI/CD, etc.
  • Mastery in Backend development, Java (JDK 17.x/21.x) Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Web, Spring Data, Spring Integration, etc.).
  • Expert knowledge with Relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.) In-memory databases (Redis, etc.) Non-relational databases (MongoDB, etc.).
  • Experienced with CI/CD methodologies and tools (Jenkins, GitHub Action CI, CircleCI, etc.).
  • Proficiency working on cloud-native microservices an asset.
  • Strong understanding of IT security best practices and data protection regulations.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
