About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at SIX Payment Services. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, creating, and sustaining the software engineering tools used to manage our payment acceptance platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop automation tools such as CI/CD pipelines, automated testing solutions, and configuration/deployment management.
  • Lead the translation of requirements into reliable, scalable, and maintainable automation systems.
  • Develop technical skills as a mentor through peer reviews and collaborative engineering practices.
  • Coordinate with production operations teams to troubleshoot and maintain system stability.
  • Contribute to platform quality and maintainability by writing automation scripts and ensuring solutions are repeatable, automated, and documented clearly.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a software development-related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software development tools/deployment or operations-related fields.
  • Motivation and passion for teamwork and mentorship with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Substantial knowledge of build, deployment, and configuration (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Bamboo, Octopus, Jenkins, and cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, and Azure.
  • Experience with software development practices and tools like GIT/Stash and familiarity with processes used to build complex software solutions.
  • Able to write scripts and automations in languages like Power Shell, Bash, Python, and other scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle frameworks and processes (Scrum).
