Work Environment

About You

You are comfortable working across technology and business teams to drive solutions and design technical solutions with security, performance, and resiliency in mind.



Qualifications



  • 8+ years of experience in software development.
  • 4+ years of experience in payment systems, including real-time payment systems (an asset).
  • Participate in defining standards and guidelines around development, CI/CD, etc.
  • Mastery in Backend development, Java (JDK 17.x/21.x) Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Web, Spring Data, Spring Integration, etc.).
  • Expert knowledge with Relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.) In-memory databases (Redis, etc.) Non-relational databases (MongoDB, etc.).
  • Experienced with CI/CD methodologies and tools (Jenkins, GitHub Action CI, CircleCI, etc.).
  • Proficiency working on cloud-native microservices (an asset).
  • Strong understanding of IT security best practices and data protection regulations.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.


About the Role


This Senior Payment Systems Architect will lead their development team to deliver reliable, scalable, and performant systems with resiliency and security top of mind. Responsibilities include code review, coordination of releases, ensuring user stories are understood and clear, solving technical challenges, and ensuring best practices are followed.



Compensation and Benefits


We are pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary range of $130,000.00 to $160,000.00, plus a discretionary profit share opportunity. Additionally, we provide group benefits and an RRSP matching program. Salary will vary depending on the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.
