About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Logistics Manager to join our team at TRANS-IT LOGISTICS INC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning and controlling budget and expenditures, developing and implementing purchasing policies and procedures, and overseeing the evaluation of the cost and quality of goods or services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and Control Budget and Expenditures: Develop and implement budget plans to ensure efficient use of resources, and control expenditures to meet business objectives.
  • Develop and Implement Purchasing Policies and Procedures: Create and maintain purchasing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the Evaluation of the Cost and Quality of Goods or Services: Conduct thorough evaluations of goods and services to ensure they meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Authorize the Development of Specifications for Products or Services: Work with suppliers to develop specifications for products or services that meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage Contracts: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and Process Claims Against Suppliers: Review and process claims against suppliers to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the Analysis of Data and Information: Analyze data and information to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Oversee the Preparation of Reports: Prepare reports to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Advise Senior Management: Provide advice and guidance to senior management on supply chain and logistics matters.
  • Assign, Coordinate and Review Projects and Programs: Assign, coordinate and review projects and programs to ensure they meet business objectives.
  • Plan, Organize, Direct, Control and Evaluate Daily Operations: Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations to ensure they meet business objectives.

Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in supply chain and logistics.
  • Language: English.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: MS Office, MS PowerPoint, MS Word.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, attention to detail, large caseload, large workload.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, team player.
