About the Job: We are seeking an experienced Upholstery Craftsman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert upholstery services to our customers, ensuring a high-quality finish and excellent customer experience.

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description: As an Upholstery Craftsman, you will be responsible for assisting customers with fabric choices, replacing worn-out furniture parts, laying out and installing new upholstery, and repairing damaged frames. Your attention to detail and hand-eye co-ordination will ensure that every piece of furniture meets our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult with customers to determine their upholstery needs and preferences
  • Provide cost estimates for upholstering furniture or other items
  • Replace worn-out webbing, springs, and other furniture parts
  • Lay out, cut, fabricate, and install new upholstery
  • Tack, glue, or sew ornamental trim, braids, or buttons
  • Repair furniture frames and refinish wood surfaces
  • Operate sewing machines or sew by hand
  • Garnish the bottom and back of a seat with interwoven rattan
