Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional housekeeping services, including waste management and cleaning of patient rooms, common areas, and facilities.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless and efficient cleaning process.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance knowledge and skills in environmental services.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum one year of hospital janitorial experience preferred.
- Preference given to candidates with floor refinishing and carpet shampooing experience.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently, following policies and procedures, and job description.
- Flexibility to meet different departmental needs.
- Knowledge of safe handling and storage of chemicals and solvents.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask efficiently, maintaining a disciplined level of confidentiality.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and attendance record.
- Ability to follow specific instructions and perform duties while maintaining infection control mandates.
- Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and stooping, with a minimum weight of 40 pounds frequently and walking for extended periods.
