Job Summary

The Housekeeping Support Worker is a vital member of the Environmental Services team at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital (OSMH). This role is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of hospital procedures and protocols, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional housekeeping services to ensure a clean and safe environment
  • Operate and maintain equipment and machinery related to housekeeping duties
  • Participate in waste management and recycling programs
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations
  • Adhere to OSMH's Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum one year of hospital janitorial experience preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift up to 40 pounds
