Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Edo Japan Spruce Grove. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff scheduling.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and a focus on quality.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to train and supervise staff.
  • Flexibility and reliability, with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
