About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Public Health Professor to join our faculty at the University of Manitoba. As a leading academic institution, we are committed to providing our students with a world-class education and preparing them for successful careers in public health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Research
    • Develop and deliver courses in public health, including epidemiology, health policy, and global health
    • Conduct research in public health, with a focus on infectious diseases and health systems
    • Supervise graduate students and mentor junior faculty members
  • Service and Leadership
    • Participate in departmental and university-wide committees, including curriculum development and accreditation
    • Contribute to the development of research grants and funding proposals
    • Represent the University of Manitoba at national and international conferences
  • Professional Development
    • Stay current with developments in public health, including new research findings and policy changes
    • Participate in professional development opportunities, including workshops and conferences
Requirements
  • Education
    • PhD in Public Health or a related field
  • Experience
    • 5+ years of experience in public health teaching, research, and service
  • Skills
    • Excellent teaching and communication skills
    • Strong research and analytical skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
