Occupational Therapist

The Occupational Therapist plays a vital role in facilitating, restoring, and maintaining patients' optimal level of function in self-care, productivity, and leisure. Working collaboratively with clients, caregivers, and family members, the OT provides consultation, assessment, treatment, evaluation, and follow-up services within the hospital, client's home, and community settings.
About YouWe are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Occupational Therapy, licensure with the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia, and excellent oral and written communication skills. Additionally, the candidate should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide consultation, assessment, treatment, evaluation, and follow-up services to patients
- Collaborate with clients, caregivers, and family members to establish individualized treatment plans and goals
- Manage a busy caseload and prioritize tasks effectively
- Provide education and support to clients, families, and caregivers
- Contribute to the clinical education of OT students and related health disciplines
Nova Scotia Health offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $33.96 - $42.90 hourly, as well as benefits such as health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, and a defined benefit pension plan.
