Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Manager to join our team at Four Points by Sheraton Kelowna Airport. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and consistent operation of housekeeping services, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and quality, and providing exceptional customer service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure policies and procedures are followed consistently through daily operations
Champion Brand Standards and Expectations
Take and complete all Brand Training
Manage labor costs effectively based on business levels
Manage company expenses effectively and within budget
Coach, train, and develop supervisors
Lead performance reviews
Manage supplies and ordering efficiently
Lead linen inventory checks and par levels
Assist in scheduling
Ensure day-to-day operations of housekeeping stay on track
Assist with training and introduction of new team members
Ensure Room Attendants are informed daily about priorities in their section
Actively participate in daily briefing, daily warm-up, and department meetings
Develop a strong team of associates through effective leadership
Delegate tasks accordingly
Work closely with the Front Desk to stay on top of any changes and guest requests
Assist and lead projects as needed
Assist with lost and found, ensuring procedures are followed accordingly
Efficiently act upon feedback for the benefit of guests
Efficiently act upon feedback of co-workers for the benefit of the housekeeping workplace
Must be comfortable in providing performance management
Maintain an open forum and open-door policy with team members
Work flexibility may be required to perform housekeeping duties
Manage conflict that may arise through day-to-day operations
Actively participate in the hotel health and safety program
Ensure all associates are familiar with and in compliance with WHMIS and Health & Safety policies and procedures
Available to work varied shifts: days, weekends, and holidays
Assist other departments when necessary and available
Cross-train or work at our sister properties
Other duties may be assigned by the Management Team

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor is required
Experience in a similar environment will be an asset, with a proven ability to provide professional, friendly, and engaging service
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Committed to delivering high levels of customer service
Highly organized and has very effective time management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Outstanding problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Certificate/Diploma in Resort and Hotel Management or other related topic
Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training is an asset
