Medical Imaging Technologist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Casual Medical Radiation Technologist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using various modalities, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care, including communicating with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques, attending training and education sessions as required.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology.
- Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification.
- Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure.
- Previous experience in Diagnostic Imaging is an asset.
- Basic Life Support Certification.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
