About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Radiological Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care while operating radiological equipment with minimal supervision. You will perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, applying the ALARA principle, and remain responsive to each patient in your care.

Effective communication in a multidisciplinary environment is essential, and you will foster a culture of safety in the workplace. Travel to other sites may be required.

About You

We are looking for a graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology with Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification and Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure. Previous experience is an asset, and qualification to work in multiple Diagnostic Imaging modalities is also desirable.

You must possess the physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position and demonstrate initiative, organizational, and prioritizing skills. Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.

Hours

This is a permanent full-time position with 75 hours biweekly. Shift work and call requirements include evenings, nights, and weekends.

Compensation and Incentives

The hourly rate is $30.83 - $37.54, and successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
