Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Produce Assistant to join our team at Foodland. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our store's inventory, ensuring that products are accurately counted, weighed, and sorted. This role requires excellent communication skills, as you will be interacting with customers and colleagues on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock counts
  • Unpack and organize incoming products, ensuring they are properly labeled and stored
  • Operate cash register and process electronic transactions
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer inquiries
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve store goals and objectives
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in a retail or stockroom environment an asset
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
