About the Role

Siskinds LLP, a leading law firm in Southwestern Ontario, is seeking an experienced IT Business Applications Manager to join our IT department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess business process requirements and identify application solutions to improve efficiency and success.
  • Manage a portfolio of business applications and associated projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, vendors, and IT management to provide strategic vision for new and supported applications.
  • Address stakeholder needs, concerns, and expectations in planning and executing projects, meeting project requirements, and creating project deliverables.
  • Balance competing project constraints, including scope, quality, schedule, budget, resources, and risks, to accommodate user needs.
  • Build a strong technical culture around business systems, emphasizing technical excellence, rapid iteration, strong security, and frictionless user experiences.
  • Manage application maintenance outsourcing and software contract agreements, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as an IT Business Applications Manager in a mid-size to large organization.
  • Experience managing ready-made business applications, in-house developed software, IT business analysts, and software developers.
  • Experience directly managing individuals and teams of 5 or more, with experience in a legal environment an asset.
