Job Title: IT Business Applications Manager

We are seeking an IT Business Applications Manager to join our IT department. This role will require you to assess business process requirements and identify application solutions, leveraging the latest software development to enhance business efficiency and success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage an application portfolio and associated projects.
  • Identify opportunities for business application optimization, redesign, or process improvement.
  • Provide administrative support across business applications as needed.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, vendors, and IT management to provide a strategic vision for new and supported applications.
  • Address stakeholder needs, concerns, and expectations in planning and executing projects.
  • Balance competing project constraints, including scope, quality, schedule, budget, resources, and risks.
  • Build a strong technical culture around business systems, emphasizing technical excellence, rapid iteration, strong security, and frictionless user experiences.
  • Manage application maintenance outsourcing and software contract agreements.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of current work experience as an IT Business Applications Manager in a mid-size to large organization.
  • Experience with managing ready-made business applications, in-house developed software, IT business analysts, and software developers.
  • Experience directly managing individuals and teams of 5 or more would be an asset.
  • Experience working within a legal environment would be an asset.
  • Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and communicate with all levels of the Firm.
