The Cardiovascular Nurse Specialist will provide advanced care to patients with arrhythmias, utilizing specialized knowledge and skills to participate in the plan of care. This includes applying cardiovascular knowledge, physical assessment skills, and diagnostic interventions to promote quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement educational programs for patients, families, and staff
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to advance patient care
- Participate in evidence-based practice development for the arrhythmia population
- Tutor and mentor nursing and other health professional students
- Current Certification of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Nurse – Extended Class or RN(EC) with Adult Specialization
- Masters Degree in Nursing
- Recent (minimum 5 years) clinical experience in cardiac nursing
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of community services and resources
Monday to Friday; Days and occasional Evenings
