Food Service Supervisor

LEELA'S ROTI & DOUBLES INC is seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules for food service staff to ensure adequate coverage and efficient service.
- Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
- Train Staff: Train new staff members on job duties, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols.
- Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Estimate the quantity of ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation and ensure timely ordering.
- Hire Food Service Staff: Recruit and hire qualified food service staff to meet the needs of our restaurant.
- Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet our high quality control standards.
- Budgeting: Prepare and manage budgets for food and supplies.
- Customer Service: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on food service operations and sales.
- Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high pressure.
- Physical Demands: Stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, kneel, and walk frequently.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail in a busy environment.
- Client Focus: Provide excellent customer service and focus on meeting customer needs.

- Mentorship Programs: Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
- Diversity Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
- On-the-Job Training: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth.
- Awareness Training: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Awareness Training: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans.
- Workshops and Counseling: Offer workshops, counseling services, or other resources to help Veterans navigate their transition into the civilian workforce.
- Skills Translation: Support Veterans in translating their military skills and experience into the language of the civilian job market.
- Flexible Onboarding: Offer flexible onboarding options to allow Veterans to gradually adapt to the civilian workplace.
- Cultural Competency Training: Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Hiring Policies: Apply hiring policies that discourage age discrimination.
- Awareness Training: Provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
- Phased Retirement: Offer phased retirement options that allow mature workers to gradually reduce their workload.
- Phased Re-entry: Offer phased re-entry options for mature workers who are returning to work after retiring.
